NEW Long-Form Outdoor NoVids

To help bring simple, effective structure to your longer outdoor riding days, We are happy to share the news that we have just dropped a brand-new selection of 3, 4, and 5 hour NoVid workouts (with some more on the way!)

These sessions are heavily geared towards outdoor riding, bringing clean, uncomplicated interval structure to your big endurance days in the saddle. They make it easy to target specific energy systems on the road or gravel without overcomplicating route execution or pacing.

How to Use These Sessions

  • Geared for Outdoors: These sessions are ideal for sending straight to your ELEMNT bike computer. They give you manageable structured targets right on your screen while letting you focus on the ride itself.

  • Indoors: They are also fully available in SYSTM if you ever need to execute a long endurance block on the trainer.

  • Batch Release: This is batch 1 of our long NoVid rollout—we will be dropping a second batch of longer workouts in August!

  • Scheduling: You can either add these sessions to your SYSTM calendar or open the link in the Wahoo app to send directly to your device.

What is the philosophy behind splitting up the intervals into 3x at the beginning and 3x in the end of the workout?

@Magnito Probably training durability - the ability to repeat intervals even after a long session of endurance - similar to a race where you go out hard, settle in and then finish strong.

Absolutely @JSampson, I assumed as well too, but thought I’d just ask without putting words in their mouth.

My immediate impression was initially breakaway contest, steady riding, finale.

Great question @Magnito , and @JSampson is spot on!

The core philosophy here is training durability, building your ability to repeat hard intervals even after a long stretch of endurance riding. It closely mirrors real-world race dynamics: you go out hard early to make the selection, settle into a steady rhythm, and then dig deep to finish strong when your legs are already tired!

How have you found the workouts?
