New Wahoo Forum Guidelines*

I was thinking more like Sufferfest community, but your suggestion sounds better imho!

And everyone can open a topic

You mean, the community which largely was purchased/inherited from Sufferfest? The one which was one of the primary draws of SYSTM over all their competitors? The citizens of which the Company have routinely ignored, then alienated, actively pushed away, and are now being censored? That community?

I hear you all and I know it is frustrating, but I can promise you all that the goal of this is not to silence anybody or push anybody out, it was planned to make new updates and product releases/knowledge more engaging and to have more of a presence in the space. We are putting a team together to tackle this… but it’s taking a bit of time to align the right people, hence why there hasn’t been a lot of activity, yet.

Thank you for the response.

Why can’t we have both? Discussion on the specific videos and the ability to chew the stem with other community members in an off topic space.

I also echo the comments of at least one other poster: finding and then solving specific issues is going to be a nightmare if we cannot create a short lived thread on each issue.

Sooooo, if I am understanding this correctly, this was planned but there was no plan/team in place to implement the plan soooo, why not just leave it alone until you have the team together to tackle the plan.

What a novel idea!

“Concepts of a plan.”

Perfect!

to me, the attempt to silence criticism will eventually trump supportive communication

my European POV, excuse the purely incidental pun

I fail to see how restricting communication makes announcing updates and new products more engaging. The opposite is true as vivid communication becomes more difficult. It might give you and your announcements more space by restricting the space for the rest of us. Not the best way to introduce yourself and to start something new.

@WahooMikeG so as you are not ready to achieve your goal, whatever that is, reinstate us with the ability to start a new topic facility today. Then, explain what this actually means: ‘make new updates and product releases/knowledge more engaging’. I don’t need to get more engaged with a launch, i am interested in the actual product and, more importantly, this community, it is far more valuable to wahoo than it is currently being given credit for. They could start by realising their mistake and correcting it. We are very understanding people.

It sounds a bit like “I want to do a really epic bike ride but I don’t have any wheels at the mo…”

We shall have an unknown number of Mondays till this actually happens if it even does happen.

But in all honesty, it wasn’t an issue to begin, as in us community members, creating topics/threads/polls and soliciting advice/fixes/views on issues which we encounter both hardware and software wise from each other. Hence, why such a move?

And to add on, I echo my other fellow Sufferlandrians, if there was no so-called ‘team’ formed to tackle whatever the problem/issue which the Company finds in having an active and already engaged community as a whole, why make such a drastic move?

This board can pin posts to the top of the page and therefore this reasoning doesn’t jive with me. I am sorry, but nice try.

Again, there isn’t a need to limit thread starters to just members of the Company. So this reasoning is far from valid.

I think the forum will just shrivel up like a negleted plant that cant be revived. No doubt an idea by an overpaid luvvy with no idea what a forum actually is and how it works..Wahoo in my opinion is in the same “spiral of death” as we can experience in our training. ie: too much power and not enough cadence!

Sounds like that someone needs to do a Downward Spiral.

@Anne Again, the silence from Wahoo says it all. This change doesn’t make any sense. I can’t come up with any reasoning behind it. What’s your take on it @Anne ? About the only thing that I can come up with is because “they can” but I again come back around to “Why”?

It’s funny but on the day that we were shut out of this forum, I was going to start a topic about Nasal Breathing, specifically, problems with Nasal Breathing. I’ve been waiting all week to see if “Topics/Threads” were going to be started by Wahoo or if Wahoo would open the forums back up to us after our expressed concerns/displeasure/opinions over the course of this past week about this change but since neither has happened, I guess I’ll hi-jack this thread and start the topic here. So, here goes….

Topic: Nasal Breathing

Category/Room: Training and or The Nine Hammers Tavern general chat

As some of you may or may not know, I do yoga on a daily basis and nasal breathing is specific to Yoga/Meditation. On most mornings and or days when I go to do my yoga, either my left or right nostril is the “open and clear or partially clear one” while the other is stopped up or mostly/partially stopped up but on some mornings or days, such as this morning, both nostrils are clear and open. This morning was a good morning and I was able to breathe fully and smoothly in and out through each nostril during each yoga/stretching pose. Just wondering who else experiences these nostril breathing issues and what, if anything, do you do for it?

Also, on a side note, does nasal breathing allow more oxygen to get to the working muscles during exercising?

Your typical experience with one nose being open and one closed reminded me of this article on your “two noses.”

@Namaku thank you.I’ll give it a read once I pull myself out of the Very Dark Place that I’m about to put myself in.
