Yesterday afternoon I completed the TT Stage of the July Challenge, Joyride. I still found no Joy in it….and even less now than before.
I always got big joy from it! (at least when I completed it)
When I saw new version available just didn’t download and suffer old way, ehy sagan great fan!
If you look at the exercise in intervals.icu you can notice a little gem, one of those that made me love sufferfest… each interval has an average power slightly higher than the preceding one.
Well today I took “advantage” of a 60 day free back to Zwift offer. So hopped onto Zwift which all seemed to be working fine after a long time away from it. Set off on Ven10 for some climbing. Lasted exactly 41 seconds before any motivation ebbed away remembering exactly why I don’t ride Zwift.
Anyway - having read this thread Joyride was in my head. And Joy - I still had the original downloaded - fabulous - completed it and as always arms aloft at the finish line as if I was really there racing. Magic.
Very tough - I always find the first interval the hardest and was so close to throwing the towel but the easing of intensity came just at the right moment.
The magic of repeatable SUF vids!
Also, your comment about VentTop on Zwift reminded me that this one time, I did that ride 6 fugly times in a row and vowed NEVER to do that again.
