Here are my previous thoughts about that plan.
Love your optimism
Legs hurt more than they did, but not as much as theyāre going to
Day 4 Giro dāItalia Donne 1 is done. The climb on lap 5 hurt a bit, the final 4 min 30 effort a lot more. Post ride sauna was definitely a good idea.
According to my spreadsheet thatās about 28% of TSS for the 14 days completed.
Slight trepidation for Hammer Climb tomorrow
#tuhntf
ā¦I mean, 28% you say? Interesting.
Maybe just move everything into the sauna? Save some time.
Day 5 Hammer Climb done. Glad to see the back of this one.
Iād like to have a chat with the idiot who thought this was a good idea, but apparently heās not available until 10/12
Youād have to go back and do Days 1-4 again though soā¦
Thatās where youāre potentially mistaken. I can just head to the reality where I said ānopeā and tried out that couchlandrian training plan instead
Hahaha. Sureā¦maybeā¦but I think the minions would mess with that reality and youād be doing it all over again, and againā¦
Thatās just mean
This is amazing! Very sufferlandrian of you.
Do you then get the Ground Hog Day badge?
Iām pretty sure thereās a way to find out
Day 6 Strade Bianchi 1 is done. Love this pro ride.
Was expecting to find the first 14 minute climb harder than it was this morning and was grateful for a shorter stage.
Amazingly still at 100%, but no, Iām not doing FF this afternoon
Now back on the bus and heading to Ventoux tomorrow
Thanks for the advice on higher cadence. Definitely helped
Day 7 completed and Mount Ventoux conquered and on my way to Australia for tomorrow.
Officially half way through, although 57% based on saddle time makes me feel closer to the end than I am.
isnāt officially halfway really 70% of the way like in a Knighthood or is it cuz youāre doing this as a Tour halfway is actually halfway? Also, this is an out and back tour right ?
Out and back?
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
Errr, nope
Just checking.
Iāll get the team car ready to pick you up at the finish then
Driver got a bit lost this morning and did Tour Down Under 1 rather than 2. All going well until the final sprint when I failed at the last 7 seconds.
Really didnāt deserve the 3rd place
Have struggled on the final sprint previously but just hung on with fresh legs so wasnāt surprised
