I think Primers was remastered around the end of December or early January, then updated again later to add back a bit of footage to the end that with the initial remaster had been just cut off abruptly at the end of the last primer
They really dont progress that much and once you have been through the plan cycle more than twice it begins to get tedious.
For me I have moved onto more weight and a more directed weight training.
Hi Folks. I just cancelled my subscription and still have hope that things will have a turn and we get again great innovation and fun with the Sufferfest vibe.
I damaged my shoulder badly earlier this year and could not go outdoors. Second surgery is next week and I hope to be on my bike training as soon as possible.
With my recovery time I got into Rouvy and felt a good motivated again with innovation nice tracks and workouts.
I am sorry that SYSTM is not delivering anymore although there is still great content and potential.
I am sad to leave but thank you for the great time while it lasted.
I wish a great suffering to this community.
Eduardo
I used to subscribe to Sufferfest/Wahoo SYSTM/Wahoo X during the winter as the least boring indoor cycling option when the weather was bad. I didn’t use any training plans — just wanted to spin from time to time. Now, with the SUF videos being removed, it’s more likely I’ll switch over to Zwift or TP Virtual.
It feels like Wahoo has a real talent for killing off good options. Remember RGT? ![]()
I cancelled today. The remasters are improving a bit, based on the recent redo of The Wretched, and I am happy to work with the wahoo minions as they struggle to catch lightning in a bottle. After reading some comments on facebook Sufferlandria, I’m not optimistic, but I believe wahoo would prefer more subscribers, rather than fewer.
If they really want to keep Sufferlandrians, a good step would be to return the history of Sufferlandria and the Sufferlandria tourist brochure to their site, and for Chip Hawkins to post on the forum how much he values us and how unhappy he is about the sudden remastering. It’s always bothered me that he bought us and never personally welcomed us.
Software products may be expensive to create, but once created, they can be used over and over again without much additional cost. Wahoo’s systm might generate more profit per dollar than their hardware products. So maybe there is enough motivation to embrace Sufferlandrian culture.
I have 7 months left before the end, so in the meantime I’ll keep riding and work toward my knighthood quest, despite my knee and my booty protesting.
My message to wahoo when I cancelled:
The Sufferfest has been one of the best things to keep me engaged with training in the winter and connected to a group of like-minded lunatics, who enjoyed the humor and encouragement developed by David M. and the original Sufferfest creators. Watching the slow steady elimination of the original Sufferfest staff and the weak remastering of original Sufferfest videos has been heartbreaking. Benedict Anderson described nations as Imagined Communities in his essential book about nations. Sufferlandria may be imaginary, but the ties to the culture David M created are real and powerful. Wahoo never bothered to upload any of the goofy history of Sufferlandria or any of the Ministry of Tourism information. Why? It cannot take up much digital space and would have shown us that wahoo had some respect for us. I will always be a Sufferlandrian, but I won’t be using SYSTM any longer unless wahoo can find a way to breathe life back into the Sufferfest before my annual subscription expires.
Im thinking about getting a training plan from Scott Maclean (Bulletproof cycling) when i come back from my holidays . Using Training peaks and push the wotkout to Zwift or your head unit
I try not to comment on here anymore.
But as one of the people who were involved in making this « lunacy » I couldn’t help but to do so on this occasion as I would like to thank you for your very kind words and also offer some sort of apology for letting down this wonderful community. We did try very hard though… despite what the saying and the workout says…
You nailed it on the head.
100%.
@TheSonOfGVA, I was gonna say something similar in reply to @wmalexmann, his last 2 posts in this thread really are spot on.
In particular I share his disappointment with Chip in terms of SUF and SUF Science as well as the lack of all that classic SUF history/culture etc etc. While much of it is still available in the waybackmachine, otherwise the online SUF presence on the wahoo site is sadly hidden in their support site under SYSTM Troubleshooting and FAQs and what’s left barely does justice to the richness of what was there before and what could have and should have been nurtured instead of buried.

I also took action and cancelled my subscription. I would be happy to renew it when the time comes and whenever the platform is attractive again for me. The downgrades, the lack of advances and its direction led to this decision. Rouvy became way more appealing to me at this moment and I do sincerely hope that the Sufferfest spirit resonates back to the Wahoo team and they should not see it as a threat or diversion of their brand, but rather a core asset of this platform. Anyway, life is short, so I wish you all good riding, suffering and enjoying life on a bike.
Not only phasing out the Sufferfest videos but also everything around it. I became a KoS on January 31st and still haven’t received the letter and decals. I’m assuming it’s because they ran out of stock and not planning to replenish it, as they did for Sufferlandrian gear, bottles and more.
I cancelled my subscription this week. It was due for renewal next week. I’m not expecting much though and I am ready to move to the Xert/Zwift combo.
If you send a message to support, I’m sure you’ll get your decals. Must have been an oversight as I know that Knighthood is 100% still a thing.
I have, 4 times. They replied once saying they were taking care of it, but nothing since then. Decals are not the main issue here, it’s just another example. My cancellation is related to the lack of communication over the roadmap and more specifically their plans for Sufferfest content.
To be fair to them, they’ve been much more transparent and communicative since about May 19th with Rupert’s post about what videos were being remastered and such. Granted, they did ghost the community for a couple years so it’s gonna take some time and effort to rebuild trust.
I’m not gonna try to convince you to stay, but I will suggest you maybe ping @Dame.Ellisa as she was, on top of all her other support duties for The Company, the only minion tasked with managing all things KoS on behalf of GvA. She’s never steered me wrong and imho, represents the only true remaining beating heart of Sufferlandria over there.
I did a knighthood in Apr with tel friends. Two of us have received them, one is still waiting. They are still doing them, just seems slow for some reason.
Dame Ellisa is on top of it, but as Glen said it’s just one of the many, many, many amazing things she does for us and with the Canadian customs enforcement really cracking down on Knight stickers it’s been more tumultuous than normal, please shoot her another note, I’m sure she’ll get you sorted (just not this week as its’ almost over and she’s doing 2 people’s jobs right now as someone is on PTO.
6 months though. As much I am happy to read that stickers are not your priority over running the platform, 6 months to mail a letter is not good, at all. The customs argument is probably valid for equipment but shouldn’t really be an issue for a letter..
That’s it, subject closed.
You should make sure you listen to your Sufferlandrian customer base with regards to the workouts. They’re among the best online presence you have, losing them would be much worse for your business than what you probably think.
And now Cobbler is remastered and renamed to CLOBBERED. Gone are the iconic pave - replaced by a UCI race hosted in Guanxi China.

@#$% seriously?!? They’ve literally outsourced a video to China now? Haven’t figured out how to make LLM video slop yet? ![]()
Cobbler was sacred to me. The end is nigh.
