What a great workout. I loved the concept and the challenge of it. Felt very natural like a good ride. The no music, just mood aspect worked extremely well for me, i really felt like I was training with a coach. Very fun seasion. Id love to see more content lile that. (The tourist side videos were cute as well, but unnecessary ).
This is one of my top 5 workouts in the whole SYSTM library… Just love everything about it!

Agreed I like this one too, and all Nicole’s on location rides, particularly this one and Mount Wellington. I like Mike Cotty but would be good to have more from Nicole and other pro riders. I’m thinking on location wales with Geraint Thomas….
Maybe some Puck Pieterse CX recon videos..
Awesome idea!
Cygnet was my very first workout when I signed up (w/ my new Bike Shift) late last October. Just did it again a few hours ago as an anniversary ride. It is terrific. Felt like a good group ride. This after about 1.5 hours of shoveling wet wet wet snow here in St. Louis. The ensuing nap was great.
Catching up on some posts, rode this last weekend. Love the wry comment about the nap!![]()

Let’s say I have to still do this one and The Wretched this year. I have to work today and tomorrow. Bonus: we will received guests tomorrow. And on the 31st there is of course a party I don’t want to appear on partially destroys.
Should I do this today and the The Wrechted tomorrow? Or the other way around?
From the look of it this seem tough but offer some recovery between the little sprints while TW is lot’s of sub-threshold work with fewer sprints. In both cases HR will probably go up throughout and any reserves depleted.
I would choose based on your rider type. If that indicates you recover quickly, then I’d be inclined to do Cygnet Road last so you finish on the one that’s suited to you or in other words “feels easier”.
I don’t know the other one. But this one (Cygnet) felt more like a good time than a training. I wouldn’t call it tough, just a good cadenced ride. Not sure that helps tho.
Harry,
I believe you may be overthinking it. In the immortal words of the late, great Freddie Mercury Just get on your bike and ride.
+1 to @Radar because there’s just 1 day left… (for the Dec. Chall. that is)
My new New Years tradition send out the year with Original Blender and ring in the new with Sufferfest Blender. The fun begins tomorrow morning.
