Curious, @DameLisa, what did you guys ride in RGT? Given my (previously expressed) thoughts on doing Rabbit Mountain AGAIN, I may go with your plan as well.

Also for Stage 4…and Stage 6…

I dunno man. If you’re not challenged by the rides in the Wahoolimabob Tour then there’s plenty you can do. Ride the stages in a goat suit. Add the March Challenge rides to your schedule. Add Defender daily (just one mind you, don’t be like Sir @emacdoug). Do FF as a warm up prior to each ride and/or Long Scream to cool down. Jack up the intensity. Do everything in Level mode and smash the EF out of the targets. Or, keep it in ERG mode and fiddle with the up button:

Like the Revolver effect, you’ll get out of it what you put in.

Er!! that was a Wolf in sheep’s clothing or should I say a Laser goat in Rabbits clothing. Nearly crumbled on the last minute but held on and cracked it. I Did go for it though on that first sprint in level mode and hit my highest ever (834 watts = 13.67 watts per kg for me) and at nearly 70 I was pleased with that.

Smash that :heart: button if you hit erg “spiral of death” during the Shovel sprint efforts today! Pretty much insta-fail when that gun went off.

I was smart enough to get into the right gearing to flip to Level mode for the last 2 intervals but was 100+ W off the pace for the final 10 seconds.

Rabbit Mountain (never done by me before) - “Hey, this doesn’t look so bad.” Very first “primer”, “Oh. my legs needs to wake up.”

Hit the first NM in the Shovel section… I just barely made it. It got better though.


What the?

I chose a Spotify playlist for today and had music for the intervals but paused to listen to Neal for the interludes. This track popped up during the longest intervals in the second set.

From prior reviews I knew Neal gets dropped in the last climb interval but I’m feeling good! I’ve got this! Welp, NOPE!, not really, pretty sure I cracked with Neal just a few seconds behind me.

And the Couchlandrians/Minions? Same as usual… still no sympathy.

In the category of ISLAGIATT, I decided to go ahead with my weekly strength training zoom class after today’s stage. I reached muscle failure early during the leg routines, that’s for sure! Not sure just why it seemed like I should do that. Probably won’t remember next year either!

Maybe, in celebration of pi day, this will help me recover

OK, so not gonna lie - Stage 3 exceeded my expectations (with a little help). Great workout, absolute leg burner of a Tour stage, but having done Rabbit Mountain now three times, I wasn’t looking forward to a third viewing.

So taking a cue from @DameLisa and the Minions, I fired up RGT and climbed some random mountain while working through RM and it was…okay. Not I-could-do-it-a-hundred-times-never-gets-old SUFF level, but I enjoyed it. The last little MAP kicker to the top even helped me catch the Carl-bot, who’d been dogging me the whole ride. (Side note: :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: you, CARL! )

And there were goats!

Still not a fan of wahoo turning THE TOS into “come take a tour of our product”, but thanks to the RGT option, I’m not NOT looking forward to Stage 4 anymore.

I rate it three killer bunnies

Plus an RGT bonus

Well I realised too late that I could have queued up the ACTUAL On Location for stage 4. But no matter. I literally just pick any of the real roads and add enough repeats to get us thru the SYSTM workout. I’m not sure how John and Natasha are riding it but I sometimes just view SYSTM via my Twitch live stream so I can chat to anyone dropping in and see their comments.l and ignore RGT running in the background unless I hear Tash or John chatting. Sometimes I overlay the SYSTM ribbon over RGT and ride that way. We are not interacting a heap on RGT but it’s SERIOUSLY conforting knowing someone is riding the same workout as me at the same time.
You should come along for the Pro Ride.
