Thinking About Breathing While Riding Cygnet Coast Road

So yeah, I enjoyed Cygnet Coast very much - probs one of my favorite on locations. Usually they’re a one-and-done for me - if I re-do them I will watch something else to just get the workout in. I could see queueing this one up again, though. Much more, dare I say, “Sufferfest-rian” than most of the others?

I called it Violator-lite and not in a mean way. FANTASTIC workout.

Exactly. Was thinking Violator the whole time.

Caught myself looking ahead to a couple of the longer blocks near the end, trying to do math and guess “is that one going to be, what…1:30?”

I do this too and also try to count the intervals backwards from 45. If I don’t lose count, I’m not pushing hard enough

@David.McQuillen.KoS Great story and I really enjoyed Tour Down Under #1 this weekend. It was very immersive and had just the right amount of spiciness towards the end.

I finally did Cygnet Road, and I would rather do this workout than Violator any day of the week. It does not stress NM conditioning any where near that of Violator.

It was a hard workout, but when I was done, I felt fine. It was a great session, one that I would gladly do again.

which is why I called it Violator-lite. Few of us wanna do Violator again, and even fewer gladly :joy::joy::joy:

CCR is brilliant and Nicole Frain is a brilliant host for it.

I plan on voluntarily doing Violator in about 2 weeks.

Fun!

I’ve done it exactly once. I’ve been told there’s all kinds of neat video footage during it. Maybe someday I’ll do it at like 40%-50% and check that video out…..

In Violator hey?! Hmmmm, I’ve never seen it. Reminds me of the time someone told me Full Frontal had bagpipe music.

Whaaa?? I’ve always played my own music for full frontal so I never would have known that one!

Haha. Tbh, I’m not a big fan of the tunes on FF but they do seem to help with timing things a bit. I’ve tried my own tunes and usually perform better when I leave it as is :man_shrugging:t3:

As for the bagpipes, until someone told me where they come in I genuinely did not know. Spoiler alert: hint: they come in twice

Look8ng forward to finding bagpipes in a week.
