Wahooligan Athlete NoVid Workouts 🚴‍♂️

We’ve just dropped something a little different in the SYSTM Library — brand-new NoVid workouts from our very own Wahooligan athletes! These are some of the training sessions our pros use to sharpen form, build endurance, and prepare for big events.

Each workout includes a short intro from the athlete explaining why it’s one of their go-to sessions and how it helps them build a better athlete’s engine. Every single one is pro-designed and approved by the Wahoo Sports Science team to ensure it fits perfectly with our proven 4DP® methodology.

Now in the SYSTM Library:

How to use them:
These sessions fit perfectly into your training plan as standalone workouts, race prep, or as substitutes for planned intensity days. Here are some suggested swaps if you want to slot them into an existing plan:

  • Pete Stetina’s Pre-Race OpenersSwap for Tapers or Openers

  • Ian Boswell’s El Sensei → Swap for Tempo/Threshold/Map 6 x 3-2-1

  • Dylan Johnson’s Durability Workout → Swap for Micro Intervals OR Tempo 2 x 12 Plus 1 x 20

  • The Lauren De Crescenzo Special → Swap for To Get to the Other side

  • Alexey Vermeulen’s Wake-Up Call → Swap for Tempo Alternating Cadence

  • Emma Pallant-Browne’s Push Then Burn → Swap for The Bat or Attacker

:speech_balloon: We’d love to hear from you:

  • Which workout are you jumping into first?

  • How are you planning to fit it into your week?

  • Have you already given one a go? Tell us how it felt and what you enjoyed most.

Whether it left you grinning, gasping, or both — share your story so the rest of the Wahooligan community can get inspired to try it too!

Sounds good, Rupert!

One question (you could have guessed this one from me), do these workouts use gradient changes?? (I HOPE!)

Hi @DouthatBiker ,

As these are Novids, they do not have any gradient integrated sorry.

After all the discussions about the word “hooligan” and why it is completely unacceptable to call your customers that, you are releasing new workouts with this branding? I am simply stunned. And no, adding „wa“ in Front of that word doesn‘t change anything.

Swapping the opener in for the one planned for saturday before some race on Sunday. If I suck racing, I will blame someone

Did Pete Stetina’s Pre-Race Openers just now…

  • Does what it says on the tin.
  • More of a replacement for Primers, I think, rather than Tapers/Openers
  • Am doing it 1.5 days ahead of a 200km/4000hm ride from Zurich to Andermatt, and for that I feel it was an excellent prep workout (but then so are the other ones)
  • Happy that there are new workouts to try just for the sake of trying something new
  • Stop it with the Wahooligan already, ffs… :face_vomiting: :face_vomiting:

Edit: bonus points for identifying the film I’m watching

Bingo!

@Rupert Thank you for the new material.

Sound of Music. Edit. Missed that someone already called it. Now I’m gonna get blasted by the laser goats.

Showing that you have confidence in confidence alone!

Maybe it’s the people complaining….

Wahoo is the name of the company.

Ligan is wreckage marked by a buoy.

Makes perfect sense to me.

I did not suck completely. So no need to blame anyone.
