One man’s shortcut is another man’s wise planning.
Not quite. It is already 7:35 here and our Border Collie is VERY impatiently waiting for her walk to the park. She is almost 15, doesn’t see very well, hearing’s worse, but her morning walk is still a very high priority. I will be out the door in two minutes.
They only thing we need to deal with in the middle of the night is Callie needing to go out for her bio-break. With her failing eyesight she has trouble navigating the doggie door at night. Fortunately that is not too often.
We do have cats…kinda. Three feral cats that my wife feeds. They have all been caught and ‘fixed’ so that is not an issue.
I ventured into the Valley of the Nine Hammers and came out the other side, just a little the worse for wear.
I did Hammers 1 - 2 at 103%, Hammers 3 - 4 at 102%, Hammers 5 - 7 at 101% and Hammers 8 - 9 at 100%. My tally through 5 stages is +22 TSS and +0.17 IF above 100%. Not a lot, but something in the bank.
Tomorrow I will Try stage 6. Oh wait, There Is NO Try!
Hell Hath No Fury my A$$. I feel like I’ve been rode hard and put away wet, if you are familiar with the phrase. But tomorrow…tomorrow. It is a violation of all that is holy to even speak of it. Pray for me.
At the end of Stage 7, I am +29 TSS and + 0.21 IF above 100%. I don’t see any way to add to that in the final 2 stages. I just hope I don’t give it all back.
Stage 8 is done, and done…and DONE. I even managed to eek out just a bit over 100% today. With just It Seemed Like Thin Air to do (yeah just), I am + 34 TSS and + 0.25 IF above 100% through the first 8 stages. I’m gonna take that.
In just a few hours my 50 hour window will open for Stage 9. I definitely will not do it tomorrow morning. Tomorrow evening or Sunday evening is the decision. I’m leaning heavily on tomorrow night so I can get this one in the books and look forward to 2018 ToS.
Now to the showers and then I need something to eat.
