Finally did this workout, my 1/1/23 goal. Really enjoyed it, the last 30 minutes got tough. Keep content like this coming, GC what? Great ride, also enjoyed the UCI, especially the road climb and mountain bike.

What a great ride! Those last 30 minutes left a sting in the legs :slight_smile: Brought back wonderful memories of 2 jaunts up Ventoux 5 years ago. Actually the first was a bugger, cold and windy. The cesond though, from the flat below Sault, was a joy.

I don’t really know why I decided to do this today. I had the day off and was looking for a two-hour ride. I’ve been training for a marathon for 14 weeks and I’m 4 weeks out so I’m pretty banged up from the high running mileage. I haven’t done any structured training on the bike since January so I guess my numbers are not what they used to be. I’ve noticed that I can be at z3 power with z2 heart rate and z2 power with z1 heart rate but anything close and above FTP gets really hard really fast. I cruised easily for 1h40m until we got to chalet Reynard and that first attack happened. I was able to keep up with it but wasn’t getting any recovery when back to FTP. I ended up dialing down the numbers to 93% for the last 15 minutes or so. I must say I loved the ride and I’m looking forward to repeating it when I recover the 5% or so that is missing right now

@alopezor That is a very deceptive and unforgiving workout when your numbers are not quite right.
