Oh no, please no Sir. Letâs not even talk about donuts ![]()
So just did this for the second time.
I am shocked, because if I followed the story line correctly, somebody was lying to GvA.
- During the warm-up, GvA calls a minion.
- The minion answers the phone and says it just completed Revolver and was going to do ToolShed next.
- GvA and minion talk further and GvA hangs up.
- Then the video shows the, presumably, same minion getting into bedâŚ.

instead of starting TOOLSHED???
Lots of questions:
Was the minion lying when it said it just completed Revolver?
Did the minor ever plan on completing tool shed?
Did the minion change itâs mind and now plan on completing Rue the Day on the next day instead of tool shed?
Will GvA make an example out of that minion and make it do âthe modelâ ?
Otherwise, awesome workout, I had doubts if I could finish, but the tips helped build up my positive self talk and I finished it!
Canât wait for the next new workout, hopefully soonâŚ?
I know that I am late to the review of this workout, but I really liked the story line about GVA coming up with a video to prove that he hasnât gone soft. However, I could not help thinking that this would have been a perfect video to use the original âSufferfestâ opening theme music during the warmup as a nostalgic throwback to all of the users who have been brand loyal for years. I am assuming that there is either a copyright or other agreement that prevents that from being used, but it really would have made my day if it was part of this video
I finally did Rue the Day and it is one of my favorites. Good workout and good footage. GVA has nailed it again.
After seeing some posts on people getting badges I checked mine, noticed that I have the âAll Sufferfestâ badge but I hadnât done Rue the Day since it came out, so I had a crack at it yesterday to shake off some Christmas Kilos, great workout. Will be my go to workout for when I want to get a good lunch time workout in
Id like to add that Rue the Day is one of my favorite workouts. The phone call at the beginning with the Charlie Brown Teacher voice is hilarious, perfect Suff material
!
Rue indeed⌠Classic Suf! As far as all the âDames et Monsieurâ debate, I suggest everyone take a big pill and just suffer as intended. Guys, gals they all seemed to be suffering equally (FWIW the âladiesâ always look so smooth even on the rivet) Well done GVA et al. More âsoftnessâ please??
Hello everyone,
I have just tried this workout and found it easy. I raised my MAP by 5% for the last set, but it still left me only mildly out of breath.
I carried out a 4DP test two weeks ago and thought my values were accurate, given I pushed myself to the max for all intervals.
How depleted should I feel at the end of this session, and do people think it is worth raising my MAP permanently?
Thanks in advance for the help and suggestions.
Welcome to the forums @Konfor! if you scroll up youâll see what Sir @Coach.Neal.H #everyonehatessirneal said about it here đ NEW SUFFERFEST: Rue The Day is here! đ - #27 by Coach.Neal.H also, if you continue to find workouts that target MAP easy, then perhaps your MAP has either improved or was underestimated when you tested a couple weeks ago.
I wouldnât put too much on a single workout like this but rather more watch for a pattern of feeling like certain efforts or workouts arenât as challenging as they usually are.
My 2 cents, in the short term, try another MAP heavy workout and see if you feel the same way. Maybe 14 VG or 9H.
what is the vivaldi/like music which appears a couple of times, in the end with voices also?
thank you!
Such a good fit, that music!
