You can do a workout in Level mode in Rouvy.
Go to the Sensor settings and remove your Trainer from Controllable.
As for doing it on the fly, I do suggest you make a feature request to Rouvy. Since they are now featuring workouts on the platform much more than before, they might be more amenable to such a request. They do revise their UI.
Ah yes, I had forgotten that (messy) way of doing it. Iāve only tried that in-ride but that seems to confuse Rouvy and I found it holding onto the power target of a previous interval. Will try it from the start one day. Thanks for the reminder.
Yes, we probably have, I ride the Latton TT mist weeks. Race went well thatās, came 9th, which is my first top ten at a Hardriders TT, so pretty happy.
Hey, GREAT NEWS! - for those upset with the de-Suffing and using Rouvy. I did a sprint workout yesterday on Rouvy (workflow: JOIN cycling - manual to intervals.icu - auto to Rouvy) and Rouvy picked up the sprints and automatically changed that section (10x 10-50s) to their new āfree-rideā i.e. level/slope mode. The moment the last 50s was over it changed back to ERG. Even the following 3x8 min tempos remained in ERG. Impressed! (Although Iād still like the ability to do it on the fly.)
It would not only be the videos, but they would have to take over the entire idea of 4DP testing and adjusting the videos accordingly. I also do not know how their video encoding and persisting compares with that of Sufferfest.
They do have ābranded workoutsā, but they are all FTP based.
Another consideration is that the CEO of Wahoo (Gareth Joyce) has only been with the company for 15 months. He may be ignorant of the ācultureā that surrounds the āSufferfestā as well as being more focused on the hardware side of Wahoo. The bike computers have received a re-vamp and Wahoo added a rear radar to the hardware list. Iām assuming that is where the $$$ are going (to try to compete with Garminā¦) instead of continuing to build out SYSTM (with AI adapted training) and maintaining the content that is held dear by those who followed the Sufferfest to Wahoo.
15 months is a pretty long time. Certainly long enough to figure out whatās what.
If he doesnāt know that The Company of which he is CEO, is completely disengaged from their own online community, in their only public forum (administered by reps of The Company) then heās either willfully ignorant, or thereās a whole bunch of sycophants shielding him from whatās what.
Fwiw, Gareth Joyce contributed a whopping $70 as part of the Official Wahoo squad during the 2025 Wahoolimabob Tour. The year before, Iām pretty sure Chip kicked in $10,000.00
The 2024 Tour had the $10k donation from Dave Wichmann, who is Wahooās chairman of the board of directors. If I remember correctly, the donation was via the 4 Cornerstones Foundation that is run by his spouse/family. Wichmann is also a former CEO of UnitedHealthCare and on the board of Boston Scientific (which makes deep brain stimulation modalities for Parkinsonās). Wichmann is also the CEO of Jory Capital, the private equity firm that has stake in Wahoo.
Prior to Wahoo, Joyce was CEO of Proterra, Inc, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2023. He is a Wahooligan, though (runner and cyclist) according to his bio.
I was just giving Joyceās public facing 2025 contribution amount as an example of how sad The Companyās own participation was in their own event. Itās been a steady, erm, downward spiral, so to speak
I find this curious too. Iām considering posting ads for Garmin bike gear here to see if that gets their attention. Slightly worried I will get banned though! Might need to take one for the team.
