Training Peaks Calendar use with SYSTM

I’m going to experiment with using Training Peaks along with SYSTM. I don’t have a coach but want to schedule all my training sessions not just the canned workouts in SYSTM. (Yoga, strength…)
Does Training Peaks calendar link to SYSTM or Wahoo fitness apps?
Having a plan that I can see from day to day is important to me.

I use both.

You can retroactively get your activities into TP, but you have to manually enter workouts that you have not yet done.

I did this. It’s perhaps not ideal but it really doesn’t take too much time to copy over a SYSTM plan (workout name, time, TSS) into Training Peaks.

Seems like such a kludge solution to have to manually add workouts. SYSTM needs flexible calendar. What are calendars for? But to schedule things. I’m still going to try Training Peaks. And may have to switch when my subscription expires.
Thanks :folded_hands:

Unfortunately, the best solution I’ve found when you use multiple sources instead of following a boxed plan to create a training schedule is…old school. Paper. An XL calendar, or a training journal.

(I use a combination of Zwift/outside rides (zone 2, or fun rides usually), Garmin training plan, and SYSTM. Plus active recovery).

for general exercise planning I use Final surge which links to google calender. I don’t put in the sessions in detail - just “run 30 mins” or " MAP systm 45 mins" sessions can easily be moved and everything you do 3rd party (eg. garmin or suunto) can be synched to Final surge too.

What do you want to achieve precisely ?
Have a plan generated in SYSTM, but get the scheduled WO into TP (which, after completing the WO, will “match” the “planned” and the “done”) ?
There’s a chrome extension that allows to export fit file for workouts, which can then import to TP asa planned WO but this is a manual operation.
Another extension allows to fully copy all planned sessions from SYSTM to…intervals.icu…but you’re still out of TP (maybe a sync bet icu and TP exists, I don’t know).
Maybe try intervals.icu and it will fit your needs instead of TP

I’m want to create a calendar that shows all my planned workouts. Weight training, cycling workouts, yoga/core strengthening, planned group rides. I enjoy the wahoo SYSTM environment but a calendar is supposed to be a place to schedule things.
I get all my workouts posted in various apps. That’s not a problem.

I stopped using file import/export 20 years ago. If they don’t make it easy they don’t get my :dollar_banknote:

Thanks

Okay I tried training peaks and the tp virtual. I got ready for a training workout. I turn on Apple TV and it locks up. It had been working for a while. Like since they bought indyvelo. I uninstalled and reinstalled with an update. It stopped recognizing my username and password. Then it stopped recognizing my training equipment. Kickr
I never could login to my account.
This could happen in the 90’s but not nowadays.
I deleted the apps and sent off an email telling them maybe next year.

TP VIrtual is still in beta. It does not work on my laptop.

I use training peaks for the calandra functionality. There is a set of the old sufferfest workouts as a library that can be used. I have used this then manually added the others to a personal library after doing them in systm and had them appear that way . I used the web app as have problems with functionality on iPad or android training peaks app

If Wahoo SYSTM or Wahoo Fitness apps had a calendar that I could add my additional workouts too, I’d be happy  with that.
Training peaks is ok especially with the virtual workouts. But I live where I can ride outside 9 months out of the year. So I’d rather be outside.
I started out with training peaks and the workouts that were available to the ELEMNT app.
I mostly don’t like the gamification of the cycling apps. So for me I enjoy wahoo SYSTM and I’ll be staying with it.

I mostly use SYSTM. And then use TPV for when I just want to free ride or practice climbing.

It’s hard to have a calendar that includes everything. I’ve gotten content with knowing that I have options for showing everything I’ve already ridden (TP, Strava, intervals.icu). And then just making do with knowing my planned future SYSTM rides are in my SYSTM / Wahoo calendar, and that my free and other rides will likely either be replacements for existing rides or just unplanned and not show up on any calendar until after I’ve completed them.

That works for me because I’m not working with a coach and manage my own training. But I know that doesn’t work for everyone.

I won’t clutter this thread, but I’ve just added a thread which might help those using TP with SYSTM Forward planning SYSTM workouts in TP - a workaround... sort of
